Automatic Mechanical Timer (Auto Defrost) - The introduction of Alcohol means that the
granita machine must achieve much lower temperatures to freeze the product (Alcohol being
a freezing retardant). Lower temperature results in the build up of condensation on the bowls
of the machine,resulting in ice forming on the out side of the bowls. While this build up of ice
often provides excellent visual marketing, if left to grow can cause damage to the machine
over time.
The Automatic timer is preset to ensure the machine moves into an auto defrost cycle
